Impulse Test Prep

NREMT EMT Exam Prep

Scenario-first BLS prep built around the 2025 phase-of-care test plan.

The NREMT EMT exam is computer-adaptive (CAT): 70–120 items (10 unscored) with a 2-hour limit, organized by phase of care under the 2025 test plan. Impulse Test Prep is built around that reality: scenario-first practice questions with genuinely competitive answer choices, an adaptive mock exam, and automatic review of everything you miss — so the real exam feels familiar, not harder than anything you practiced.

Practice harder than the exam

The most common complaint about popular quiz apps is that their questions are easier than the real NREMT — single-fact recall with one obviously right answer. Impulse is deliberately built the other way: most questions are full patient scenarios, every wrong answer is something a partially-prepared candidate would genuinely pick, and the mock exam is adaptive like the real thing. If you can hold your accuracy here, test day should feel like a step down in pressure, not up.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions are on the real NREMT EMT exam?

Between 70 and 120 items (10 of them unscored pilots), with a 2-hour limit. It's computer-adaptive — the exam ends when the algorithm is confident about your result.

Is the NREMT EMT exam hard?

It's harder than most classroom exams because it tests judgment: what you do FIRST, which finding matters, who gets transported now. Candidates who only memorize flashcards often struggle. Practice with full scenarios and realistic wrong answers.

What changed in the 2025 EMT test plan?

The exam was reorganized around phases of care — scene size-up and safety, primary assessment, patient treatment and transport, secondary assessment, and operations. Impulse's EMT bank is structured on exactly these domains, with blueprint-matched weighting in the mock exam.

Does Impulse Test Prep work offline?

Yes. After you sign in once, your question bank is stored on your device — study anywhere, no signal needed. Progress syncs across devices when you're back online.

How much does it cost?

Start free with 25 questions at each certification level (100 total), no credit card. Founding members who purchase by September 15, 2026 get the complete 6,506-question bank and all four levels for life for $29.
