The Pass-or-Refund Guarantee
We are a new company with no wall of reviews to point at, so we will put our money where our mouth is instead. If you buy Impulse Test Prep, genuinely study with it, sit your National Registry exam, and do not pass — we refund 100% of what you paid.
What you get back: 100% of the eligible lifetime purchase or subscription payments collected for that exam attempt, to your original payment method.
What it costs to ask: nothing. No restocking fee, no partial credit, no store credit.
Applies to: founding lifetime access and paid subscriptions across EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic.
The conditions, in plain English
A guarantee with no conditions isn’t a guarantee, it’s an invitation to abuse. These are the four things we ask, and we have deliberately chosen conditions we can actually verify from your own study progress rather than ones we would have to take on faith or argue about.
- You bought paid access. The free tier is free; there is nothing to refund.
- You actually studied. Before your exam, in the app and at the level you sat:
- you completed at least two full-length mock exams, and
- you answered at least 500 different questions.
- You sat the exam and did not pass. You took the NREMT exam for the level you studied, within six months of your lifetime purchase or initial subscription start, and did not receive a passing result.
- You tell us within 30 days. Email [email protected] · (786) 300-1266 within 30 days of your result, from the address on your Impulse account, and attach your official NREMT result notice.
What happens next
We check your progress against the conditions above and refund eligible payments to your original payment method. Refunds are typically issued within five business days; how quickly they appear on your statement is up to your bank. A refund does not itself cancel an Apple or Google subscription, so cancel through the store where you subscribed to prevent a future renewal. Your account then returns to the free tier, where you keep 25 practice questions at each certification level (100 total), the full reference library, and the cardiac-arrest simulator, forever.
The fine print, stated plainly
- One refund per person. This is a guarantee, not a rental.
- Accounts are for a single individual and may not be shared (see our Terms). Purchases used on shared credentials are not eligible.
- For a qualifying web subscription, the guarantee covers subscription payments collected from the initial subscription start through the eligible exam attempt, up to the six-month window above.
- For Apple or Google purchases, the store's refund process and decision govern the transaction.
- We may ask a clarifying question before issuing the refund. We will not ask you to jump through hoops.
What this guarantee is not
It is not a promise that you will pass. Nobody can promise that, and any study product that does is lying to you — passing the National Registry exam depends on your preparation, your program, your clinical experience, and the exam itself. Our Terms of Service say plainly that we do not guarantee any examination or certification result, and that remains true. This is a commitment about your money, not about your score. If our product doesn’t do its job, you shouldn’t be out the price of it.
Why we offer it
Most exam-prep products respond to a failed exam by extending access. We would rather stand behind the payments covered by this policy. It keeps us honest: if our questions and rationales do not prepare students, we feel it directly.
