Terms of Service
Company: Impulse Learning LLC ("Company," "we," "us"). Service: the Impulse Test Prep website and applications.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
2. The Service
Impulse Test Prep provides exam-preparation content for EMS certification examinations (EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic), including practice questions, rationales, adaptive mock exams, notecards, progress tracking, and study aids.
3. Not affiliated with NREMT; educational use only
The Service is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the NREMT®. The Service is for educational and test-preparation purposes only, is not medical advice, and does not guarantee any examination or certification result. Our Pass-or-Refund Guarantee is a commitment to refund your purchase if you meet its conditions and do not pass; it is not a promise of a passing result. See our full Disclaimers, incorporated by reference. Always follow your local protocols, scope of practice, and medical direction.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account. Provide accurate information; keep it current. Notify us of any unauthorized use. Accounts are for a single individual and may not be shared.
5. Billing, refunds, and the Pass-or-Refund Guarantee
- Some features may require a paid license. Pricing and the applicable terms are shown before you purchase.
- Web payments are processed by Stripe; in-app purchases are processed by Apple/Google and governed by their terms.
- Impulse Test Prep is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring to bill.
- Refund requests are handled by contacting [email protected]; app-store purchases are also subject to Apple/Google refund policies.
- In addition, purchases are covered by our Pass-or-Refund Guarantee: if you meet the conditions stated on that page, sit your NREMT exam, and do not pass, we refund 100% of what you paid. The conditions on that page form part of these Terms.
- Taxes may apply.
6. License and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own exam prep. You may not: copy, scrape, screenshot for distribution, record, resell, sublicense, or publicly post Service content; share your account; reverse engineer the Service; circumvent the watermarking/anti-copying measures; or use the Service to build a competing product. Content is protected by copyright; violations may be unlawful and will result in termination.
7. Intellectual property
All Service content and software are owned by the Company or its licensors. "Impulse Test Prep" and our logos are our trademarks. "NREMT" and other marks are the property of their respective owners.
8. User feedback
If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.
9. Disclaimers of warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, current, or uninterrupted, or that it will result in passing any exam.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any exam/certification outcome or clinical decision. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (including content theft/sharing). You may stop using the Service at any time.
13. Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email; continued use means acceptance.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that we cannot resolve informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue with you directly.
